The Summer Reading List

I have finally got around to making my summer reading list! Now that I have my beloved Kindle I am making it a point to read everyday, always making sure I have it in my bag. I have curated a list of recommendations from friends, or authors that I already love and want to read more off. It’s a mixture of novels, and non fiction so I hope there is something for everyone. So grab a spot in the park, slap on some sunscreen, and let’s dive into these literary gems together!

Let My People Go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard

This is actually the first book I have started from this list. It’s a memoir by the founder of Patagonia, blending his love for surfing with lessons on sustainable business practices. I am already loving this book and his perspective on business.

The idiot is a coming-of-age novel that follows the adventures of Selin, a young woman starting her freshman year at Harvard. With a mix of humor, intellect, and awkwardness, Batuman captures the uncertainties and complexities of early adulthood, exploring themes of language, culture, and love.
